become an ally

There are many ways for individuals to become allies and support those who are struggling with addiction and recovery.  Auraria Recovery Community wants to be proactive in building that ally network.  We do this through community engagement and collaboration, campus tabling/ outreach events and a more structured trainings.

recovery ally training

This training aims to expand the awareness on the Auraria campus (MSU Denver, CU Denver, CCD) to reduce stigma and educate faculty, staff and peers on how to better understand and support individuals on our campus seeking recovery.  You can participate in this training when scheduled throughout the year or by requesting a training for your office, org or group.

opioid overdose response training

Join us virtually, on the third Tuesday of every month, for invaluable information on the opioid epidemic and its impact on our communities.  Attendees will also learn how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and how to administer the opioid overdose reversal drug Naloxone.  You will also leave with resources on how to access free harm reduction tools like Naloxone and Fentanyl Testing strips both on-campus and in the community. Department- or group-specific trainings can be accommodated upon request.
